Statement on August Wilson Center
ITS NOT WHAT THE AWC CAN DO FOR US - ITS WHAT WE CAN DO FOR THE AWC
> Congratulations Pittsburgh! Commitment and perservarence has prevailed in saving the August Wilson Center. The talented technical and craft employees represented by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local No.3 that work lighting, sound, audio visual, set construction, rigging, props, hair and make-up at the AWC look forward to working with its partners in ensuring a successful reorganization. As well as, the opportunity of forging new partnerships along the way with the centers new programming.
We are grateful for a community that differentiates itself from others in its willingness to pull together during tough times. Rest assure, it's not what the AWC can do for us, it is what the men and women of IATSE can do for the AWC.
